Understanding Changes in Our Trade-In Program for Flesh and Blood

At Curiosity Games LLC, we strive to provide the best possible trade-in values for the trading card games (TCGs) our community loves. Over time, market trends and player interests evolve, and we must adapt to ensure fairness and sustainability in our trade-in program. Recently, we've made the difficult decision to move Flesh and Blood cards down from our top trade tier. Here's why and what it means for you.

Why the Change?

Decreased Local Interest

Flesh and Blood, while initially popular, has seen a decline in local player participation and sales in our area. Our trade-in program heavily relies on the demand and activity within our community. When interest wanes, it affects the liquidity and turnover of these cards, making it challenging to offer high trade-in values.

Market Manipulation

The trading card market can be volatile, with prices sometimes artificially inflated by speculative buying. We've observed significant market manipulation within Flesh and Blood, particularly with special printings and low print run items. To maintain fairness and avoid potential losses, we've had to adjust our approach to these cards.

What This Means for You

Adjusted Trade-In Values

Effective immediately, we will no longer offer our enhanced trade-in values for Flesh and Blood cards. We will only accept cards valued at $25 or more and offer 30% of the TCGPLAYER Market or TCGPLAYER Low price, whichever is lower. This adjustment allows us to continue accepting these cards while reflecting their current market stability.

Monthly Reassessment

We believe in staying responsive to market changes. Therefore, we will reassess Flesh and Blood's standing in our trade-in program monthly. This reassessment will consider local popularity, sealed product sales, and overall market trends. Should the market conditions improve, we may revisit and potentially enhance the trade-in values for these cards.

Higher Tier Cards

While Flesh and Blood and One Piece have been moved to a lower trade-in tier, Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, and Disney Lorcana will continue to remain on our higher tier. These games have shown consistent interest and stability in our community, allowing us to maintain more favorable trade-in values. (up to 84% in trade in!)

Your Feedback Matters

We understand that changes like these can be disappointing for fans of Flesh and Blood. We encourage you to share your thoughts and experiences with us. Your feedback is invaluable and helps us shape our policies to better serve our community.

Conclusion

While the decision to move Flesh and Blood down from our top trade tier was not made lightly, it reflects our commitment to providing fair and sustainable trade-in values. We remain dedicated to supporting the games you love and will continue to monitor and adapt our policies to meet the evolving needs of our community.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Stay curious, and keep gaming!
