We're thrilled to announce a new schedule for our Disney Lorcana events! Starting with the release of Shimmering Skies, all Lorcana events will now take place on Sundays.
Important Dates:
August 3rd: The last Saturday event within the Return of Ursula's season.
August 11th: The Shimmering Skies release event, marking our first Sunday event, starting at 3:00 PM.
Future Events: Every Sunday from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Why the Change?
Our Fridays and Saturdays have become incredibly busy, hosting both Magic: The Gathering Commander Nights and Disney Lorcana events. This overlap has led to confusion for our players and an increased workload for our team. As a result, we've decided to move Lorcana to Sundays to provide a better experience for everyone.
What This Means for You
Moving Lorcana to Sundays allows us to manage events more efficiently and create a family-friendly environment by pairing Lorcana with our Nintendo + Pokémon events, which take place every other weekend. We believe this change will make Sundays a fantastic day for families to come together and enjoy gaming.
Concerns and Considerations
We understand that this change might inconvenience some of our loyal Lorcana players. However, our decision comes from the need to balance our popular events effectively. Magic: The Gathering currently has a higher attendance rate, and maintaining both events on the same night has proven unsustainable.
Additional Information
Playing Lorcana During Commander Nights: While space permits, you can still enjoy Lorcana on Fridays and Saturdays. However, these sessions won't count towards league points.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we make this transition. Our goal is to enhance the gaming experience for all our patrons. We look forward to seeing you on Sundays for Disney Lorcana and continuing to enjoy great games together.
Thank you for your continued support!
