We’re Staying Open Later on Weekends 🎉

We are always looking for ways to improve what we offer, and part of that means making sure our hours better align with the needs of the community.

Over the past several months, we have experimented with a more flexible schedule that was intended to let us stay open when needed and close when traffic was slow. While that approach had good intentions, it also created confusion, so we want to make things clearer and more consistent moving forward.

Beginning April 2nd, we will be extending our official evening hours as part of a test run that will continue through the end of May.

Our updated hours will be:

Thursday: 2 PM to 8 PM

Friday: 2 PM to 9 PM

Saturday: 2 PM to 9 PM

Sunday: 2 PM to 6 PM

Monday - Wednesday: Closed

This test period will continue through May 31st, at which point we will review community feedback and store traffic to decide whether these hours should continue long-term.

As always, on event nights we will continue staying open beyond posted hours until events conclude and the last participating customer has left. This is especially important on Friday nights, where the added evening coverage should make it easier for players to stop by and get in some Commander games.

We truly appreciate any feedback during this test period, as your input helps shape the future of Curiosity.

Why not open earlier?

Our opening time will remain 2 PM across the board. We have extensively tested earlier opening hours on multiple days and have consistently found that there is not enough demand during those earlier time slots to justify opening sooner.

We understand that this may not work for everyone, and we genuinely appreciate the feedback, but we want to be transparent that this decision is based on repeated testing and observed customer traffic patterns.

Why not open Monday through Wednesday?

This comes down to the same issue.

Throughout our six years in business, we have thoroughly experimented with being open on Monday through Wednesday and have consistently found that there is currently not enough demand on those days to justify regular operating hours.

That said, this is not off the table permanently. We are currently looking for the right part-time team member who may be able to help us open on one or more of those days in the near future, but at this time it is not a priority compared to strengthening our core community hours later in the week.

This keeps our focus on being open when the community is most active while continuing to evaluate future opportunities for growth.
