As the trading card market continues to grow and evolve, we occasionally review our policies to make sure they still support the best possible experience for our customers and our store.
With recent changes across major trading card marketplaces and fulfillment systems, we are making a small update to our card condition standards for trade-ins.
Going forward, Curiosity Video Games & More will only be accepting Near Mint and Lightly Played cards for trade-in.
Many major platforms within the trading card marketplace are shifting toward supporting higher condition inventory. As the industry moves in that direction, we are updating our standards as well. This helps ensure the cards we process and place into inventory remain consistent with the expectations of collectors and players across the broader market.
Focusing on Near Mint and Lightly Played cards allows us to keep our singles inventory cleaner, easier to browse, and more appealing for everyone who shops with us. By concentrating on higher quality cards, we can also process trade-ins faster and maintain a stronger overall selection in the store.
Accepted Card Conditions
We will continue to accept the following card conditions for trade-in:
Near Mint
Lightly Played
Moderately Played cards will no longer be accepted as part of our standard trade-in process.
As a reminder, Curiosity has already maintained a long-standing policy of not accepting Heavily Played or Damaged cards, and that policy will remain unchanged.
