November Commander Night: Loser's Bracket

This event will begin on November 9th, November 2nd at 6:30pm will be our Duskmourn Commander party which is free to enter.

This November, we’re flipping the Commander experience with Commander: Loser's Bracket—an event where losing is the only way to win! Join us as we challenge you to be the first to fall and claim the ultimate title of Biggest Loser.

How It Works:

The goal is simple: lose with flair. The first player eliminated in each pod will be crowned the night’s true “winner,” taking home prizes for creative and strategic self-defeat.

While we’ve done our best to identify cards that disrupt the spirit of this format, we also ask players to avoid using similar cards that could lead to very early, unintended losses. Additionally, all cards currently banned in regular Commander remain banned here as well.

  2. Emblem Rule: Each player begins the game with an emblem that reads:“If you activate an ability by paying life, you may not activate an ability from a source with the same name again this turn.”This rule encourages creative play without enabling repetitive, early self-loss tactics.

  3. Simultaneous Losses: If multiple players lose at the same time, the player with the least life will be declared the loser. If players share the same life total, the loser is determined by turn order, with the player last in turn order losing first.

  4. Randomized Seating: All players must choose seats randomly before the game begins to ensure a fair and unbiased game setup.

  5. No Conceding: Conceding equals forfeiting the event and does not count as a “loss.” You must stay in the game to lose with style!

  6. Keep the Game Moving: Slow play and passive tactics are not allowed. Stay engaged, or risk disqualification.

  7. Vote Out: If other players in your pod feel you’re stalling, they may vote you out. This will disqualify you from claiming Loser’s Bracket glory and may affect future participation.

Join us and discover the art of losing with flair and finesse! This November, let’s redefine victory through defeat.
