For the last couple of months, we’ve been running a small test with our bulk inventory. The idea was simple: put out tons of cards to dig through, offer 1-for-1 trades, and let the community have fun exploring.
After listening to feedback, while some people enjoyed the experience, the majority of players told us they still want a fast and easy way to quickly find the exact cards they need.
That has always been the challenge for us.
As a store, we operate under the philosophy of Quality over Quantity, and low-value singles have never fit cleanly into our main inventory structure. We have always focused on keeping our preferred inventory clean, searchable, and easy for our staff to pull quickly.
Starting this week, that is changing.
We are officially launching a separate searchable store for lower-value cards, and we will be slowly adding our bulk inventory into it over time.
We’re calling it The Archive.
The Archive will exist alongside our regular preferred singles inventory without cluttering it up. It is designed to help you build decks, find missing cards for your collection, and quickly grab the commons, uncommons, rares, and staples that don’t always fit into our primary inventory system.
In short, we decided you really can have both quantity and quality, just in separate spaces.
You can search The Archive and place store pickup orders anytime by visiting our trading card singles page and clicking “The Archive”, or directly at: https://curiosity2.tcgplayerpro.com/
Our main preferred inventory will continue to operate exactly as it always has, allowing us to quickly and efficiently pull higher-value singles.
Please note that orders from The Archive may take a little longer to pull due to the nature of bulk inventory, but we will always do our best to fulfill all orders in a timely manner.
We Buy Bulk
Also starting this week, we will officially begin buying bulk.
To help set clear expectations, please note that we do not accept the following as bulk:
basic lands, ad cards, promotional inserts, Arena code cards, art cards, checklist or helper cards, heavily played or damaged cards, cards with bends, water damage, peeling, writing, or severe wear, excessive duplicates beyond our copy limit, excessive tokens or emblems, foreign language cards, empty pack wrappers, box inserts, or other packaging materials.
All bulk trades are subject to review and may be declined.
Bulk Common / Uncommon Rates
Unsorted Bulk
$6.25 store credit per 1,000
($5 cash, $7.50 CORE Support)
Sorted Bulk
$7.50 store credit per 1,000
($6 cash, $9 CORE Support)
Sorted bulk means cards must be grouped by set, with each set kept together, and alphabetized by card name A–Z within each set.
Bulk Rare and Mythic Rates
If clearly separated before trade-in, we will pay individually for rares and mythics.
1¢ per rare
3¢ per mythic
We’re excited to finally give these cards a proper home and make it easier for everyone to find what they need.
As always, #StayCurious
