Whether you’re new to Magic or a seasoned planeswalker, our Magic the Gathering League is the perfect way to play, learn, and earn rewards in a fun, welcoming environment. To kick things off, we’re offering a special league event option designed to give you even more value and excitement!
Upcoming New Player Events
To help you prepare for the league, we’re hosting two special events designed to get new players ready:
Free Learn to Play Event
Date: November 16th at 2:30 PM
Learn the basics of Magic: The Gathering in a fun, beginner-friendly environment. No prior experience needed, and all materials are provided!
$30 Learn to Build Decks Event
Date: November 23rd at 2:30 PM
Ready to take the next step? Learn how to build your own Magic decks! This event includes all the materials you need, plus personalized guidance to help you create a deck that suits your playstyle.
League Schedule:
Dates: November 30th, December 7th, 14th, and 21st
League Play: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Jumpstart Event: 2:30 PM - 6:00 PM
League Entry Options:
Standard Entry: Bring $3 or $5 in sealed Magic product to participate.
Enhanced Experience ($15): Includes more gameplay and extra rewards!
What You Get for $15:

Entry into that week’s league event
A chance to earn up to 17 points (more on points below!)
How It Works:
Open Your Boosters & Play:Open your two Jumpstart packs, combine them, and you’re ready to play.
Quick, Rolling Pairings:You’ll be paired randomly with another player. As soon as your match ends and at least one other match is completed, you’ll immediately be paired again—no long waits!
Earn Points Per Win:
3 points per win, up to a maximum of 9 points.
Keep playing to improve your skills until 6 PM (no new games will be paired after this time).
Additional League Sheet Points:Each week, you’ll receive a league sheet with simple tasks to earn even more points. Here’s how:
[+3 Points] Play: Play one or more games.
[+2 Points] Win: Win one or more games.
[+1 Point] Wear: Wear something representing your favorite Magic: The Gathering character.
[+2 Points] Bring & Teach: Introduce someone new to the store and teach them to play.*
The new player must have never played Magic at Curiosity before.
What Are Points?
Points are Curiosity’s in-store loyalty rewards system. Here’s how they work:
Paid Members: Earn 5% back on every $20 spent and store up to 100 points on their account.
Non-Members: Still earn and use points! Just spend them before leaving.
1 Point = $1 in-store credit.Note: Points cannot be used to enter events.
