This bonus is optional, can only be claimed once per season, and does not affect progression.
Special Commander Nights
Some Fridays during the season will feature optional themed Commander experiences tied to Lorwyn Eclipsed. Normal Commander play will still be available on these nights.
Friday, January 30
Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander Party
Special rules designed around the Lorwyn Eclipsed set release.
Friday, February 13
Two Headed Giant Commander Night
Grab a partner and play Commander in a 2v2 format.
Players who opt in, or make a good faith effort to opt in, will receive the applicable promotional items for these events while supplies last.
Important Note About Seating and Pods
Commander is a social format, and we strongly recommend that players make plans ahead of time by bringing friends or coordinating with people they already know.
While we absolutely want Commander Night to be a place where new friendships form, Commander is generally best enjoyed with people you already have some rapport with.
If a player attends Commander Night and:
There are no other players available, or
There are no pods willing to add another player
We may not be able to seat you for a game that night.
Pods can range from 2 to 6 players, but we will not force players into pods or require others to play with someone they do not wish to play with. Initiating conversations and finding a group is the responsibility of the individual player.
However, if a player makes a good faith effort to find a game and is unable to play due to the situations above, they will still receive 2 Marks for the night, as though they had completed a game.
This ensures players are not penalized for circumstances outside their control while keeping Commander Night respectful and casual for everyone.
We Are Excited to Have Friday Night Commander Back
Whether you are stopping in casually, playing every week, or jumping into the Lorwyn Eclipsed Commander Season, we are excited to welcome Commander back to Friday nights at Curiosity Games.
We look forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones.
Stay curious.
