Introducing Thursday Throwdown at Curiosity Video Games & More

We’re excited to launch a brand-new weekly event series built around one simple idea: come in, have fun, compete, and win.

Starting every Thursday at 6:30 PM, Thursday Throwdown brings a different video game challenge to the store each week. Whether it’s racing, fighting, party games, or something unexpected, every Thursday will feature a new title and a fresh chance to take home store credit prizes.

Best of all, entry is always completely free.

That means:

- Always free entry

- Always great store credit prizes

- Always every Thursday at 6:30 PM

- Always a different game each week

We’re kicking things off on April 30th with Mario Kart World for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Our first three events are:

April 30th – Mario Kart World (Nintendo Switch 2)

May 7th – Super Smash Bros (Nintendo Switch 2)

May 14th – Mario Party Superstars (Nintendo Switch 2)

Every event will have its own format, rules, and player cap depending on the game, so please keep an eye on our Facebook page for full event details each week.

We want Thursday Throwdown to be a fun, welcoming event for everyone, whether you’re coming to compete seriously or just enjoy the atmosphere.

Please always bring your best attitude and good sportsmanship.

While we will provide trusted third-party controllers whenever possible, bringing your own official Nintendo branded controllers is always recommended for the best experience.
