Upcoming Schedule Note
Heads up, Duel Commander fans! Things are going to be a little wobbly in June and July, but don’t worry — we’re still running events every chance we get and plan to be back on track soon.
Here’s what the upcoming schedule looks like:
📅 June 21st
📅 July 19th
📅 August 2nd (and then hopefully back to our regular every-other-week flow)
We’re skipping June 7th because of the Final Fantasy release weekend, and also because the hosts are unavailable. And as you can imagine, the July 4th weekend brings its own chaos.
Thanks for sticking with us — now let’s talk about the wild ride that was May 24th.
The Command Zone: May 24th Edition
With eight players, fresh brews, and a prize pool of $200 ($180 payout), this event was tight from start to finish. Big names, bold decks, and a Deadpool cameo set the stage for a spicy three rounds of action.
The Lineup
Michael Watkins – Ellivere of the Wild Court
Adam Webb – Sorin of House Markov
Graham Beasley – Galadriel, Light of Valinor
Jordan Jobe – Kenrith, the Returned King
Dakota Parrish – Deadpool, Trading Card
Ryan Martin – Sorin of House Markov
April Sprague – Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy
Mattia Saccaggi – Azusa, Lost but Seeking
Round 1: Opening Shots
Adam knocked out April 2-0. Word is Kinnan took the round off to hit the beach.
Jordan outlasted Ryan in a nail-biting 2-1 that came down to the final minute.
Mattia beat Graham 2-0… but it still went to turns because Azusa loves the long game.
Mike scraped out a 2-1 win over Dakota, though Deadpool did not approve of this plot twist.
Round 2: Pressure Builds
Adam stayed hot with a 2-0 win against Mike.
Mattia matched that with his own 2-0 over Jordan, who never stopped swinging.
April got her revenge and a hard-earned 2-1 against Ryan.
Ryan: “I’ll kms for funs and hahas.”
Graham took down Dakota 2-1, and once again Deadpool had words.
Round 3: Final Table Fireworks
Adam and Mattia, both undefeated, clashed and ended in a draw, leaving standings to come down to tiebreakers.
Graham outplayed Jordan in a clean 2-0.
April edged out Mike to grab her second win.
Ryan rallied for a final round win over Dakota, who unfortunately went 0-3 despite keeping things hilarious all night.
