Cash Rounding Update – Effective 11/4/2025

Starting today, Curiosity Video Games & More is introducing a new cash management system to help speed up transactions and simplify change handling.

What’s Changing

We will no longer give change in pennies, nickels, or dimes. Instead, all cash sales will be rounded down to the nearest quarter — effectively giving you a small cash-use discount on most transactions.

How It Works

Here are a few examples of what that looks like in action:

• $9.87 → $9.75

• $19.24 → $19.00

• $14.62 → $14.50

• $27.99 → $27.75

Card sales will still be processed for the exact total as shown on your receipt.

Paying With Small Coins

If you prefer to use pennies, nickels, or dimes, we’ll still accept them — but you’ll need to provide exact change. We will not issue change in amounts smaller than quarters or dollars.

Why We’re Doing This

This change helps:

• Speed up checkout by eliminating coin counting

• Reduce drawer errors during register closeout

• Streamline cash handling for both staff and customers

This is a test run, and we may adjust or discontinue this system at any time without prior notice based on feedback and results.

A Small Note

For extremely low totals under $0.25, we’ll round up to $0.25 or request exact change — though we don’t expect this to happen often.
