Attendance Tokens Update for August 2024

We have a few changes happening in August that we want to share with you. Before we dive into the details, please note that the current week, which started on July 23rd, includes a few extra days and will end on Wednesday, July 31st. We'll announce the monthly winners for July on August 1st.

A Core Support Membership is required to earn attendance tokens.

Key Updates:

Attendance Tokens: Attendance Tokens will now be inclusive of all events, not just Magic: The Gathering. We will strive to ensure that prize choices reflect this inclusivity, though it may not always be perfect.

Weekly Prizes:

• 12 tokens: Non-Foil Promo Pack for Magic: The Gathering OR $3 off a purchase.

• 16 tokens: Foil Promo Pack for Magic: The Gathering OR an additional $2 off a purchase (total $5).

• 20 tokens: Any one booster pack with a membership price of $15 or less OR an additional $5 off a purchase (total $10).

Monthly Prizes:

• 70+ tokens: Any one booster pack with a membership price of $50 or less OR $30 off a purchase.

Big Prizes:

• 55+ tokens:

• 1st Place: Choice between a Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow Play Booster Box, a Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies Booster Box, or $100 off a purchase.

• 2nd Place: Choice between a Magic: The Gathering Bloomburrow Play Booster Box, a Disney Lorcana Shimmering Skies Booster Box, or $50 off a purchase.

• In the event of ties, winners will be randomly selected from those tied.

Changes:

• Additional Prize Options: Added to reflect the diverse interests of our players.

• Increased Token Requirement: For the monthly giveaway from 40+ to 70+ to better align with the average number of tokens earned by customers.

Earning Tokens in August:

Open Play: Any play of any game within our store from 2 PM to 6 PM, Tuesday through Sunday, earns you 1 token per hour.

Standard Showdown (Magic: The Gathering): Fridays at 6:30 PM; 2 tokens per hour.

Friday Night Magic (Magic: The Gathering): Fridays at 6:30 PM; 2 tokens per hour.

Commander Night (Magic: The Gathering): Saturdays at 6:30 PM; 2 tokens per hour.

Drafts (Magic: The Gathering, Disney Lorcana): Anytime. Drafts must be planned at least 5 days in advance and have at least 6 participants. Participants earn 3 tokens per hour for the duration of the draft. (Draft prices vary, please speak with us directly.)

Disney Lorcana League: Sundays from 2 PM to 6 PM; 2 tokens per hour (requires specific sign-up).

Nintendo & Pokémon Trade & Play Events: Every other Sunday from 2 PM to 6 PM; 2 tokens per hour (requires specific sign-up).

Special Events: Release events, prerelease events, and other special events will also earn you 3 tokens per hour. Please ask us directly if you have any questions.

Time Frames: Token earning begins and ends at the specified times. For example, no tokens will be earned past 10 PM, even if we are open later.

Rounding of Hours: We round to the nearest whole hour; 5:31-5:59 rounds up to 6, while 5:01-5:30 rounds down to 5.

Weekly Attendance Token Cap: A maximum of 20 tokens can be earned through event participation each week.

Purchase Tokens:

To reward you for supporting us, for every $50 spent within a week, you will receive an additional 2 tokens at the end of the week. You must participate in at least one event per week to earn these purchase tokens. You can earn a maximum of 4 extra tokens per week through purchase bonuses, making it possible to earn a total of 24 tokens per week.
