Advanced Preorders Are Live for MTG: Avatar – The Last Airbender (Due July 26th)

We may open additional preorders later once allocation details from other channels are confirmed, but these will likely be at higher pricing and almost certainly MSRP at minimum.

Preorder Deadline: July 26, 2025

Avatar??? DUE JULY 26th?!

What about Edge of Eternities? Heck, what about Spider-Man?!Yeah, yeah — we know. Edge of Eternities hasn’t even launched yet (that’s July 25th), and now we’re already asking you to lock in preorders for a set releasing over four months later?

That’s because Wizards of the Coast is testing a new Advance Preorder system. It’s meant to potentially improve allocations — but since it's brand new, we're navigating it in real time. Is this the new normal? Maybe. Either way... welcome to the multiverse.

How Advanced Preorders Work

From the customer side, here’s what you need to know:

Step 1: You must be an active Core Member with us to participate.

Step 2: Submit your preorder quantities by July 26 — no payment due yet.

Step 3: We’ll receive our early allocation numbers by August 12, and make adjustments if needed.

Step 4: Payment is due by August 16 for whatever quantity you’re allocated.

Step 5: Receive your product when the set releases on November 21, or prerelease starts November 14.

What About Bundle Preorders and Prerelease Kits?

Update 7/23/25: No other preorder deals will be available for Avatar—this is it. We originally expected a second, regular preorder window, but our distributor has confirmed that will not happen. This is the only preorder window.

If you preorder a Play Booster Box, you'll be eligible to register for prerelease at just $30. Otherwise, prerelease entry will be $50, as is standard for all Universes Beyond releases.

Important Allocation Notes

Heavy allocations are expected.

Preordering only high-demand items (e.g., Collector Boxes or Gift Bundles) without supporting items may result in your preorder being deprioritized or canceled.

We prioritize:

• Customers who order a mix of products

• Customers with strong event attendance and store support over the 30 days leading up to August 12

We don’t know if this Advance Preorder system is a one-time test or the beginning of a new trend.
